NUS Open.
Ah!
It was definitely an experience with everyone, esp with my team comprising of beloved Regina, Elysia&Stephanie =DDD
Went there without any hopes of winning anything actually.
Haha.
Since I thought my bowling was quite screwed up at the moment.
Roll is weird.
But what do you know!
The lane conditions were actually very nice&oily without being a swimming pool.
Found my line easily&stuck to it - &the strikes just came (:
So the confidence came as well ; that made sparing easier too.
Haha.
Managed to suppress any pressure cos yeah la, this isnt A Div.
Heh.
Would like to thank my fantastic teammates who contributed to the total team score - with all of us combined we managed a 174 team average.
We covered for each other when anybody fell, which I thank God for!
Everything worked out smoothly (:
We had minor hiccups like ALOT OF SPLITS (I had 2 7-10 pins even after a pocket shot!!)& some teammates feeling down but they worked out fine in the end (:
Wanna thank Yewliang for being our supporter throughout the comp, along with the other guys who came before their squad as well as Uncle Adam!
It means a lot to us that we had supporters there who helped our team when we were down.
It also meant a lot to me&Reg when we FINALLY became DOUBLES PARTNERS!
FINALLY!!!
Haha.
We were once doubles partners back in KC in Sec 2, but that was when we didnt know each other well yet.
&now it's really special winning 2nd with her (:
It's a good start!
Haha.
Winning first for team with my team was definitely a bonus.
We didnt expect anything, but YL came to inform us during the third game that we had a chance, so we chionged at the last game&we were definitely amazed&ecstatic!
Haha.
I've finally proved something to my Dad.
He wore both my medals when I came home with it&wanted me to take a picture of him with them (x
It was such a cute sight haha.
Personally, I felt like I bowled my personal best.
177 avg during the first day; 184 during the second.
Felt like I proved something to my coach as well.
He was so proud of SAJC, which made my day (:
On a side note, I'm quite worried.
Bowling trainings&commitments are clashing with schoolwork.
JC2 is tough as hell.
Esp these few days I've been so PMS-y.
Always find myself falling asleep during both lectures&tutorials.
Luckily I dont manage to do so in Lit :X
It's the late nights la.
But cant help it.
It's the massive amount of assignments esp Lit!
I think it's the essays.
Really, I think the Arts people suffer more in terms of schoolwork.
Science people dont need to do any essay besides GP!
Still, I dont think Arts fac is inferior in ANY WAY to the Science fac.
I am still a little annoyed by the fact that teachers have to always compare us.
It doesnt weigh up!
We both have different strengths in different areas.
But also, ultimately, weve all made it to a JC.
So I dont see what the discrimination is for.
I'm addicted to PCD&Justin Timberlake at the moment.
Haha.
Their songs are just so catchy.
Anybody in the same boat with me? (:
