THIS IS MY HOT NEW TEMPLATE, Y'ALL :D I'M SO MIGHTY PLEASED WITH IT, FEATURING THE AWESOME CHOI SIWON ♥ :D:D:D This man makes me swoon a thousand times over ahhh! Haha. Credits to my dearest and very talented Shamayne, THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE IT! ♥♥♥ Dont you think she's been amazing with my templates? The pictures are done by her own hands and inspirations! Everything is in one page, so little navigation is needed and all info is right smack here, no need to clickclickclick anymore (: Do enjoy the template! :D
Work's starting tomorrow at Loof, so will see how it goes (: FOR JAPAN & SAVING MONEY! (: Gotta reach for that international cocktail list of mine and go through it again before work tomorrow cos I think my memory's been rusty over the past 2 months of no bartending. And I havent bought that bar blade (Temple Street's about half an hour's bus ride away and I was pretty lazy the past few days -.-"), think I'll do it tomorrow before I head to work :D
Weekend was a blast, spent it with the bowlers and the Tribe (though minus TayTay ): ). Saturday I went bowling with Anuaar @ CSC Bukit Batok and also to meet Reg there cos she was having her NTU bowling tryouts. We arrived at 1 but no lanes! ):):): So we decided to be on the waiting list and proceeded to play pool to kill time. After an hour, we got a lane and we played 3 games. Managed to bowl rather decently with a bit of beginner's luck heh (135, 235, 150) but there wasnt a proper roll so sad! ): Had to go at 3.30pm cos there was an event there after that. Reggie got first in the tryouts and also got the highest game award! Woots woots! I am proud of her (: Sigh, how I wish we can be bowling partners again! I'm sure we may have the chance when we're older and working. That can be our leisure sport (; Left with her cos Uncle Francis was able to send us back :D
Changed and met Krystal, Mumtaz, Deborah, Kelvin (Deb's cousin/hubby/partner) and Kenneth for dinner at Far East's Ramen Ten.

(Piccah of us at Starbucks! We look so white.. :/ Even Mumz! As in too white huh!) MISSED THEM TO BITS! So glad to be able to meet them and catch up after a month or so?! I used to be able to see the girls EVERYDAY in school and now only.. monthly meetups! Ah and you know how girls are, even seeing each other everyday in school is not enough, we'll still chat like we have not met each other for ten years and even carry on that accompaniment to afterschool outings xD After dinner, we proceeded to Starbucks next to Orchard's Swensens for dessert (warm chocolate cakes, java chip frapp, passionfruit tea!) and Ashraf, Mumtaz' bf, came to join us as well (: So we chatted and chatted till about 11pm when Krys' mum came to fetch her and went our separate ways. DINNER AGAIN SOON OK! ♥ (:
Took a bus down to Dhoby and met Warren, Darryl and Joel at a cybercafe opp Paradiz. We're planning to wait for Glenn to fly back to Singapore from Aussie and have supper with him. Saw Ho Yun there, omg havent seen him in ages! (I really do miss the longlost bowlers leh, cant wait to see them all next Saturday during our gathering before Liz leaves for the UK) Played CS with them for awhile before Warren, Joel and I left to have tau huay at Selegie while Darryl went to fetch Clar. Joel left and Glenn came. We then all met Reg, Darryl and Clar at Siglap's HK Cafe to have dimsum (: (Suddenly I feel so, how to describe ah, fortunate to be at that spot because it's like a reunion. Haha. And we've all been close ever since end of J1 till now and also with the boys serving the nation we're still holding weekly gatherings (: ) Then we went to Warren's place to.. GUITAR HEROOOOOO! Omg I think I love that game now. After DDR! Haha! But I suck at it. Lol. It's so addictive I swear. Very fun. Reg is PRO-NESS! Walao eh I am so jealous. Haha! The guys were very good at it. Must be the ample practice they've gotten, me and Clar were the noobs -.-" Left Warren's place at 5.30am -.-" Haha.
TODAYYEE! ZEN/CHOI TRIBE DAY! ♥ :D Fun as always :D Sham and Vic say that they look forward to Sundays cos it's when they are broken free from starvation and boring food during the weekdays respectively xD I'm glad! Today, we continued on our Food Exploration Series (suddenly sound like Super Junior's Exploration of the Human Body lols!). Brought them to Central for lunch, where we ate ramen, dashi-something tamago (it's like thick omelette with stock sauce) and char siew at this Jap rest which only serves ramen and side dishes, I forgot the name -.-" Love the two side dishes we ordered, theyre super good! Shamayne's friend, Shane, joined us and we all went for dessert at Azubo Sabo at the first level. We took a very long time deciding what to eat because the number of desserts we could choose from was huge and we couldnt stop talking. HAHA. Embarrassing moments of the Tribe were spilled to Shane, poor victims include yours truly -.-" Everybody have their bimbo moments, hokaye. Reg then had to leave to meet Anuaar while Shane went to queue up to collect his goodie bag for the Nike 10K run nearby. Sham, Vic and I then walked around Central aimlessly but had a great time just catching up and being excited for our Japan trip (: Decided to budget and eat something non-Japanese so we went Western by going opposite Central at Fishermen's Wharf to have fish! So cheap and yummy! We had cream dory fillet at $6.50 each! It comes with fries/chips (: Shane came back and ate there too, after we were done with our food. So we sat there and talked somemore before heading back at 9.30pm. Shane's clickable with our Tribe and we invited him to more of our Sunday food outings (: One thing about him though, he has LOOOOOONG HAIR! Second guy friend of mine with hair length past the shoulders. Lol. Xiao mei!
That was my very enjoyable weekend (: Anticipating for next weekend!
Oh yes before I end off, HAPPY 24th/25th in Korea BIRTHDAY TO YESUNG (from Super Junior)! His voice is ranked top 3 in Suju and I dont doubt that! Poor boy, I think he's an unsung hero cos everybody likes to bully him! Especially in EHB, if you watch it you will understand (x More camera attention to Yesung please! Give this boy some credit! Haha. Suju will definitely not be as entertaining/funny/great a group without him!

Before anything else,
Charlene Tay has left Singapore! ): 2 months passed just like that, when she came back to our sunny island for a break from Indiana University ): So quick huhhhh sighs ): I miss her already. Sent her off at the airport on Tuesday night with YiuYiu, Vic, Sham and longlost Kenneth to catch her 11.50pm flight. She last msged me at 12.46am to say that she's in New York. Hope you enjoyed NY! Ive only been able to see NY through a TV/computer screen ):
Y'know, things happen for a reason or two. Like when I typed,
'Zen has realised that being unemployed = no money! ):' on Wednesday on my Facebook shoutout and on the same day I happen to pick up Tuesday's issue of Classifieds just to looksee what part-time jobs are available and TADAH RIGHT IN MY FACE LOOF IS HIRING BARTENDERS. PART-TIMERS INCLUDED. WTF RIGHT! I jumped at it immediately la. I decided to go for an interview, see if they'd hire me. Sidetracking, I really miss bartending, I really do. I've been waitressing for the last 2 months before I resigned and everytime I look at the bar my heart sighs. Haha yeah seriously. I feel like my skills were somewhat there for nothing. But of course the true reason for me being on the floor is to train up another floor staff to be a bartender when I leave and me being on the floor gives me versatility. But still yeah, one misses bartending. So, I guess the chance of me being in the bar again seems to be rather high when I saw that ad and hence, I went for that interview.
I was interviewed by the Assistant Manager. He tested me on what international cocktails are there and the concoctions of the Singapore Sling and Long Island. I AM SO FRIGGING GLAD I COULD STILL REMEMBER! Haha! He looked pleased that the concoctions are still in my head so I am pleased too :D (I took like 2 months to memorise the international cocktails leh! Took A LOT of effort and I'm so glad it came in really handy!) He sounds really nice, so I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the crew whom I havent met. Being a part-timer, there's flexibility in choosing the number of days I'd wanna work, but to an extent- I'd have to turn up on Fridays and Saturdays since it's their busy days. It should be alright (: And as always, entering a new environment will mean new people to meet and click with. I hope my new colleagues will be a bunch of fun people to work with (:
The reason why I'm taking this up is also cos I need the moolah! I think I've enough saved up to fund my driving lessons (Mummy's pushing me to ask Papa to sponsor me for those.. I dont know if he'd leh :/) but I dont think it's enough especially if I'm thinking about the trip to Japan next year and saving up for my perpetually expensive degree! I'm thinking of saving a bit now so that when we have to pay back the bank loan the load wouldnt be that bad.
I'm still half a vegetable.. Haha.
OH YES I AM STARTING DRIVING LESSONS ON 2ND SEPTEMBER (: Finally ah! Cant wait cant wait (: Victoria recommended her instructor to me. I hope I'd get the hang of driving fast!
Gonna go Sia Huat buy a bar blade tomorrow (:

Slacking at home on a Monday.Haha it feels so.. different. If I was still at work I'd be running around handling the lunch crowd now. Welcome to the new bummer life, Zen. Haha.
Had a sleepover at Charlene's with my Tribe during the weekend and as usual we indulged ourselves in the superfunny episodes of
EHB and
Full House and ateateate. Haha. On Sunday morning, we managed to wake up at 7am for prata at Simpang Bedok (!!!). And what happened last Sunday? We slept till 11am when we were supposed to wake up at 7am to cycle at East Coast Beach. Lols. After prata, we suddenly craved for frozen yogurt for dessert. Haha! Yami Yogurt!!! But we were at Simpang, at a suburb, so there wasnt a nearby shopping mall with Yami Yogurt (nearest is Suntec City) so we resorted to hunt for it at Shop n Save in front of the prata stall. But dont have, so we resorted to the normal yogurt instead. Lol. Rushed back to Tay's to catch Michael Phelps at 10am. We all slumped on the couch in front of the TV for a few hours watching swimming and beach volleyball and I found myself dozing off after that. HAHA so piggy aaaarghhhh. After that we had roast chicken, bacon and spicy fries for lunch YUMMERSSSS! Ohohoh not forgetting the dinner we had the night before- lamb stew (? I cant remember the proper name for it haha), mushroom-chicken stew (err same here (x ), and devil's eggs! Everything tasted so good *stomach nods in agreement* I am gonna miss eating at Charlene's when she returns to US and it would be different without her when the Tribe hangs out together ):
Sunday evening I had farewell dinner with my Shenton Way colleagues at Ochard's Sakura :D Buffet was yummy too! I attacked the seafood man. Salmon, oysters, mussels! I think half of my dinner was that and the other half was dessert. Lols. They got me a pressie, this red Guess wallet :D When Jimmy handed me the pressie, he was like, "
Guess what is it!" and he emphasised on the word 'guess'. I took the hint, since for Maya's birthday we got her a pink Guess wallet and for Reg's farewell gift, a green Guess wallet. "Guess? Guess!" went my reply. Everyone laughed. I opened up the pressie and Maya was like,
let's take a pic of the girls holding their Guess wallets in their favourite colours! I will get that photo from Maya since it's taken by her phone! I needed a new wallet man, so the pressie came at the right time. Lol. My birthday wallet from Dorothy Perkins was getting stained ): So sad, only lasted for 7plus months.
Sigh I will miss them so much ):
Oh yes, I'm gonna take up Japanese lessons at Katong CC come end September :D:D:D Hope it'd come in handy when I'm in the tourism and hosp line in future! And I'd be able to communicate with Vic and Sham too since they're taking Jap lessons as well :D It'd be our G Language ahaha xD And we discussed that we can also try speaking Jap in G xDxDxD
Walaga talaga shilegi Zelegen delegez! (Sidenote: Reg and I spoke G in Hokkien and Teochew before, it's damn funny I swear) The course which I am taking is only Stage 1 and there are 2 other stages as well. Hope I'll last through all the stages (should be able to la haha)! It's only $80 for 12 lessons. They're held every Monday evening for an hour and a half per lesson. I AM SO EXCITED! :D As for Korean, I'll probably be going for self-teaching since I watch and listen to Korean shows and music more. Gonna head down to Katong CC to sign up later in the afternoon. Hope the rain stops by then! :/

They say that music transcends all borders. I believe that because music is part of everybody's lives. We turn on the radio to chase away the dullness of silence or loneliness, be it at work or at home; music makes us move our feet; songs bring out that singing voice of ours; and some lyrics of songs act as a solace because sometimes they accurately reflect how we feel at that point in time. I second the notion because even though I dont know the Japanese/Korean/other nationalities' languages, I appreciate their music all the same (: So kudos to music and kudos to music bringing people of different nationalities and languages together (:

Haru Haru ~ (Day By Day in English)!
My blog song's been on constant replay whenever I listen to my mp3 (which happens to be my phone at the moment. LG has been neglected cos my phone has ample space for me to upload my favourite songs -.-") or when I open up my WinAmp.
♥ the piano in the background! And Big Bang's voices are lovely (: Here's a pic of them during their recent live performance.

I think I'm the first or second person to upload that song to Imeem, so we'll see if it gets a lot of plays :D
On Friday, celebrated Joel's birthday at Timbre. It was my first time there and it sure looks like a place to chill/hangout for people around my age. Food and drink prices werent exorbitant, so I'd definitely go down again (: The chicken wings were good! Tried the chocolate martini, but Reg and I still reckon that Indochine still serves the best chocolate martini we've ever tried before. Fangling, Reg and I left halfway to get Joel's pressie. We went on a search for a birthday cake for him cos we realise he didnt have any. So we walked from Timbre (near Fort Canning), past Chijmes to Ritz Carlton to see if they sold cakes (it was 10pm!). And PHEWY they do! They open 24hours by the way, so if you ever need a cake to snack on/ last minute birthday surprise, GO CHECK ANY HOTEL (:
On Saturday, met up with Anuaar, Reg, Warren and Darryl for lunch at PS then we proceeded to Minds Cafe to play xD We played Mad Gab and True Colours. Mad Gab's damn fun la. We laughed like MAD xD It's a game where you have a guess a phrase which is spelt out and positioned wrongly. Like say for example, Mary Had A Little Lamb. So the card in front of you would say something like Marriot A Lee Tell 'Em. HAHA. Geddit. So youve to guess what it ACTUALLY says. So the other party who knows the answer would most prolly be laughing at you as you pronounce Marriot A Lee Tell 'Em. Hahahahahaha. True Colours was quite funny too. It's a voting game actually. We have to select a colour (for example, I'm red and there's a yellow, green, blue and black player as well) and then take two of each player's coloured cards which will be your voting cards. You then have 3 other cards, 0, + and lastly one with - under the +. They are used for you to guess if you think you will have none (0), all (+) or some (+ and -) votes to the question being asked. Some questions included, Who will you bring along to a nudist colony?, Who will you put next to the President during a dinner? You can either vote twice for a player or vote for 2 players. Too bad we played it late. We only played like 5 rounds. Reg and I then rushed off for dinner at Jumbo Seafood with the Zen Tribe.
Dinner was AWESOME :D ♥ the chilli crabs at Jumbooooooooooo! The crabs were HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE, the claws were the biggest crab claws I've ever seen and you know the legs right, you dont usually eat that part cos only got a little bit of meat that it's almost negligible BUT NOT THEIR CRABS. Haha. THERE WAS LIKE 10X MORE MEAT IN THEIR CHILLI CRAB THAN A NORMAL CRAB. Yumyum. We also had cereal prawns (♥!) and other dishes. Reg and I arrived late cos we were caught in the rain -.-" We were drenched almost to the bone la, stupid rain! We had to change and luckily I was gonna stay over at Shamayne's place so brought PJ's and a set of clothes for the next day. Ended up lending poor Reg my next day's change of clothes while I changed into my PJ's (this oversized Carlsberg Germany shirt and Nike slip-on shorts). Luckily it's not those lapsap type HAHA. The PJ's mustve made me feel so at home because I ate crab like I was 2 years old propped on a baby chair- crab sauce splattered around my area and onto my shirt while I was struggling to remove the crab meat from the crab. Haha! Shamayne and Charlene both suggested bringing me to a crab dinner with an enemy if the need arises since I ate so messily. OK the point is to scare and disgust the enemy. Thanks ah guys :P I dont mind the free crab dinner tho :D :D :D Had a 10percent discount cos Mummy had a VIP card :D
Sleepover at Sham's was fun, we re-watched a couple of Super Junior's Exploration of the Human Body episodes cos we wanted to intro Reg to how funny the Suju members were and also the educational side of it haha. Reg had to leave at 12plus so it's Vic, Taytay, Sham and me left. We slept over and decided to wake up at 7am the next morning to cycle BUT WE WOKE UP AT 11 INSTEAD xD So much for cycling! Haha. Ordered in pizza, watched more vids and piggy us napped in the afternoon cos Sham's room and bed was so cold and snuggly! Ahahaha. Had a great weekend with my Zen Tribe (: Next weekend with them again, but at Taytay's house! Cant wait!
So sleepy today at work. I felt so zombie-fied until I left. Haha. I think cos I may have slept too much the day before (x Went to (FINALLY OMG) trim and shape my eyebrows at this beauty salon near Parkway after work. They were getting out of hand. Haha. Me and Maya, my colleague, always probe each every day, "Eh you went to pluck your eyebrows already or not?!" cos we always complain we do not have the time to take care of our grooming properly. Haha.
FRIDAY COME SOON! Hehe. I want to start vegetating!
A list of what I'm going to do before I start school on the 7th of Oct;
01. Watch MOVIES!
